"What is the next threat?"

• Asks: How can we execute better?
• Focuses on solving current operational problems.
• Measures performance against the plan.
• Seeks to improve existing processes.

Leader

• Asks: Will what we are doing today take us where we need to be tomorrow?
• Focuses on building capabilities and creating strategic options.
• Measures the organization's readiness for the future.
• Challenges what must change rather than optimizing only what already exists.

Those who think about tomorrow only when it arrives,

will always arrive too late for it.
