If you are looking for a great partner… be that partner first

Partnerships do not begin with big problems;

they start with a small sentence spoken in the absence of one of the partners…

in front of people who are not supposed to hear it….

At that exact moment, the most vital pillars of a good partnership collapse:

Trust and Respect….

Partnership is not built on contracts;

rather, it is built on trust and respect.

The contract defines the rights,

but trust is what makes a partner stop counting them,

and respect is what prevents them from using those rights against you.

Many partnerships do not fail because of the market,

nor because of money,

but because one party decided—even just once—

to speak ill of their partner in front of others.

At that very moment, it is not just the partner who is broken,

but the very concept of leadership itself.

When an employee hears a leader backstabbing their partner,

they are not hearing an opinion;

they are learning a behavior…

that loyalty is temporary,

that respect is negotiable,

and that power is exercised in absence, not in presence.

A partner who is criticized in front of employees

will not only lose their image,

but the company will lose its moral compass.

True leadership is not driven by the loudest voice,

nor by displaying superiority,

but by the ability to protect the relationship

even in moments of disagreement.

And if you want a simple rule to measure successful partnerships:

What is said between partners behind closed doors

must never be heard outside of it.

For when trust falls or respect is trampled,

the partnership ceases to be an investment;

it becomes a cultural risk

that costs the company far more than the money and effort invested… it costs its reputation.
